Collaboration with Alexander Stark

Collaboration with Alexander Stark

In the world of art, collaboration often leads to unique and inspiring creations. This is exactly what happened when I received an email from Leon Boch, the art director and CEO of the Gallery am Lindenplatz in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, asking if I'd be interested in collaborating with the talented Austrian artist, Alexander Stark, who was already featured in his gallery.

Our initial meeting was filled with anticipation and curiosity. Alexander's exceptional artistry and his unique perspective on life resonated with me, and I knew we were embarking on a creative adventure that would be truly special.

The first draft of our collaborative project took shape in a cozy café in Vienna, where we spent hours brainstorming the characteristics of the wearable art pieces we were about to create. Would they be minimalistic or bursting with vibrant colors? How should the wearer feel when adorned with our art?

Our next step was to find the perfect existing watches that would serve as the canvas for our art. Both Alexander and I share a passion for upcycling, and our journey began at the Naschmarkt flea market in Vienna.

After we turned our attention to the graphics that would adorn the newly created brass dials and the glass covers of our watches. Once we had finalized our designs, we met again, this time to assemble the watches.

The culmination of our artistic journey led us to the Gallery am Lindenplatz, where we proudly presented our creations during the vernissage opening. The event was a resounding success, with visitors appreciating the fusion of our artistic visions and the transformation of vintage watches into wearable masterpieces.
